Fourth Grader Dies Suddenly After Returning Home from School Orientation
CANTON, Ga. (Gray News) – A fourth grader passed away unexpectedly after attending his school orientation, according to a GoFundMe page set up to support his family.
Dominic Ippolito had visited his elementary school to prepare for the new school year. Tragically, he “passed away unexpectedly and without warning” shortly after returning home, as shared by a family friend.
The family is currently awaiting information from the medical examiner regarding Dominic’s cause of death.
Dominic is survived by his parents, Ralph and Hailey Ippolito, and his younger sister.
A family friend described Dominic as a “smart, kind, sweet young man with a huge heart.” He had recently earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoyed 4-wheeling with his dad and playing games.
So far, more than $22,000 has been raised to support the family.
